Conviction, Mission, Responsibility, and Achievements—Record of the first general meeting in 2019 of Shanghai Bar Association’s Youth Union

On July 3, 2019, the Youth Union holds the first general meeting of 2019 in the First Conference Room, with members working to make plans and predictions about the second half year of 2019.

Chairman of the Union, Lu Yin, calls for redoubled efforts to make great progress in the keynote speech. Remarking the previous experiences as “fine and valuable”, he calls on to continue the Union’s work to help improve the young lawyers’ development in Shanghai, always bearing conviction, mission, responsibility, and achievements as principle.

He further divides the four-years’ frame into four aspects:

I. Making the work system and work norm better. The fine tradition of former sessions as well as their quality activities are to be inherited and carried forward as part of the general aim to build the Union as a standardized brand.

II. Building a highly-linked multi-mechanism. We are gradually uniting all kinds of resources and platforms to offer more opportunities for young lawyers. By doing this, we make our own contribution for the integration and internationalization of Yangtze River Delta.

III. Promoting public spirit. We encourage young lawyers to volunteer and offer law service in industrial parks and communities. By this, they will have a clearer understanding of their career conviction and be more willing to take the responsibility.

IV. Developing under the direction of Chinese Communist Party. The new session are going to explore new and efficient ways for lawyers’ development by interview.

After his speech, seven deputy directors report their own ideas and plans, and introduce which part of work and members are under them. During free speech, fresh members and secretaries make self-introduction, talk about what shortage young lawyers have in their mind, and give corresponding suggestion. 

In the end, Deputy president Xu Peilong makes his speech to encourage all members to do their best level in work and create a colorful four-year co-working memory.
