After two-days’ classes, the last day is the practicing day for students using what they have learned to start model negotiations.
This morning, students are divided into 8 groups to roleplay majority shareholders and minority shareholders. Going through three hours’ analysis and discussion, every group writes down their advantages, disadvantages and strategies and explain their position. Several groups successfully make an agreement while others fail at last.
S&G Senior Partner Song Haijia makes a quick review on the negotiation part and answers questions. Song emphasizes the power of language and encourages students to practice nonviolent communication, outlining elements and five principles of negotiation. “Only professionals never pin their hope on others' help.”
