On the afternoon of November 18, 2021, the first membership meeting of the second session of the Shanghai Jing'an District Middle-aged and Young Intellectuals Association was held.

Wang Yiqun, Deputy Secretary of the Jing'an District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Li Xia, Second-level Inspector of the United Front Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, and Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Intellectuals Association, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Other attendees included Fu Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and Deputy District Governor; Gu Dingjun, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department; Jiang Tianxi, Deputy Director of the District People's Congress and Chairman of the District Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang; and Chen Qihua, Member of the District Political Consultative Conference Party Group.
