Sixth Session of Shareholder Dispute Litigation and Negotiation Strategies Course at Fudan University

On April 14, 2021, the sixth session of the practical course Shareholder Dispute Litigation and Negotiation Strategies, offered by our firm at Fudan University Law School, commenced.

This course is one of the most popular among students at Fudan University and has been recognized as a Fudan University Outstanding Practical Course. This marks the fourth time our firm has entered the Fudan campus to teach students. Enrollment for this semester was limited to 40 students and was fully booked shortly after registration opened.

This session was a simulated practical exercise between "clients" and "lawyers." Students were first divided into majority shareholder and minority shareholder groups, with each group further divided into client teams and three lawyer teams. The lawyer teams were tasked with designing detailed legal service plans for the client teams, who then selected their preferred plan and negotiated specific pricing terms. The exercise simulated the entire process from the "initial meeting" to "securing the client engagement."

The students fully immersed themselves in their assigned roles, seriously discussing the feasibility of their plans. After the negotiations, each group submitted and presented their dispute resolution solutions and pricing contracts. Lawyer Gu acknowledged everyone's efforts and achievements while reviewing each group's performance, providing detailed analysis and feedback.
