On April 7, 2021, the fifth session of the practical course Shareholder Dispute Litigation and Negotiation Strategies, offered by our firm at Fudan University Law School, commenced.
This course is one of the most popular among students at Fudan University and has been recognized as a Fudan University Outstanding Practical Course. This marks the fourth time our firm has entered the Fudan campus to teach students. Enrollment for this semester was limited to 40 students and was fully booked shortly after registration opened.
The theme of this session was the seemingly simple yet crucial issue of right-to-know disputes in shareholder conflicts. In practice, the right to know often plays a key role in evidence collection and strategic maneuvering, making it an essential part of shareholder disputes. Through a case handled by our firm, Lawyer Gu introduced the less-discussed pain points in right-to-know disputes, such as audit reports, accounting vouchers, economic contracts, and bank statements. He also guided students in drafting a detailed shareholder right-to-know litigation request.
The session concluded with enthusiastic applause from the students. Lawyer Gu added a Q&A segment, patiently addressing various questions raised by the students. Everyone expressed that they had gained valuable insights from the session.
